Who are we? We are a group of people originally from South Chadderton Methodist Church who planted a new church in North Chadderton in 1996. Our minister is Darren Holland (left) who is also minister of South Chadderton (www.southchad.org.uk). All of the leaders live in North Chadderton, in the area bounded by Middleton Road, Broadway, Haigh Lane, Chadderton Hall Road and Burnley Lane (see map).
We currently have a small group of people who regularly worship with us and who all live in the area. We also have people from South Chadderton visit us on a regular basis. We also have a very successful children's ministry in Little Fishes and Big Fish, and have also developed good links with Chadderton Hall Junior School where some of the team are involved in assemblies and clubs. How we started After beginning in 1996 Andy Bell was appointed in September 1997as a full time lay-worker. Andy took over the leadership from Rev Graham Horsley although Graham still retained overall responsibility. The arrival of Andy and Sally (Andy's wife), was another answer to prayer especially with Sally's musical expertise and ability to lead the praise group. In September 2000 Graham Horsley moved on and was replaced at South Chadderton by Rev Peter Shepherd who has continued to have an oversight of the work until September 2007. Rev Darren Holland has now taken over as minister at North and South Chadderton and preaches at North Chadderton at least once a month.
